13th Installment of Urban Landscapes

Here's the unlucky 13th installment of my Urban Landscapes series. This time I've gone back to Downtown Kitchener to feature the Mayfair Hotel. This old hotel is slated to be restored and reopened as a boutique hotel and spa in the redevelopment of the Center Block. With the building's central location immediately next to Kitchener City hall it is a familiar sight to many, and a wonder that it took so long to find new tenants. So, before the buiding goes through the long process of receiving a face-lift, and the removal of its soaring fire escapes here is a portrait of the building as it stands today:

11 Young St.

Thanks for stopping by,
